Photo spots in Phuket Old Town

Our favourite spots in Phuket Old Town are the restored Sino-Portuguese shophouses of Thalang Road, the pastel lane of Soi Romanee and the quieter doorways of Dibuk Road, with the old clock tower close by. Come in the late afternoon for soft light, or after dark when the lanterns are on. A photoshoot there costs ฿8,200 for The Mini Session (1 hour), ฿8,900 for The Signature Session (2 hours) and ฿10,900 for The Golden Evening (3 hours), the last two at launch prices until 15 October, and Old Town is 90–120 minutes by car from the west-coast beaches.
Where we shoot in Old Town
Old Town is small enough to walk, so a session can take in several of these streets. They’re the ones we come back to:
- Thalang Road: the main street of restored Sino-Portuguese shophouses in pink, blue and butter yellow, with painted shutters and covered walkways.
- Soi Romanee: a short pastel lane off Thalang Road, lit by lanterns after dark.
- Dibuk Road: quieter, with older doorways and far fewer people in the frame.
- The clock tower and the old Standard Chartered building, glowing in low sun.
It’s a living town, with shops open, scooters passing and people walking by. Your photographer knows the quieter lanes, so there’s room for photos without a crowd behind you. Couples, families and people on their own all shoot here with us.
When to shoot in Old Town
Old Town doesn’t need a sunset. We shoot it in the late afternoon, when the light is soft on the shophouse fronts, or after dark, when the lanterns come on. You choose your start time when you book, from 06:00, and every shoot ends by 21:00.
On Sundays from 16:00, Thalang Road becomes the walking-street market, Lard Yai: lively, and full of people (checked on 30 September 2026). If you’d like the street quiet, pick another day.

Old Town takes no extra hours, so The Golden Evening, 3 hours, is the longest shoot there. Special days cost more: 60% on New Year’s Eve, and 30% on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Songkran (13–15 April).

Getting there
Old Town is 90–120 minutes by car from the west-coast beaches, so leave in good time: every shoot ends on time. A shoot there is one of its own, and isn’t combined with your hotel or a beach. You make your own way there, and we meet you at a set spot in Old Town, shown to you once you’ve booked.
